Market slumped in late noon trade, Nifty closed at 6048.50 with loss of 0.56%. Sensrex closed at 19981.57 with loss of 0.60%. Nifty had touched fresh 2 year high during the day topping the 6100 levels in last hour of trade market weighed down by profit taking in FMCG and bank share. Consumer durables, realty, capital goods were draggers today. Rupee opened stronger against the US dollars after the Governments raised duty on gold to cut deficit. Rupee gained 23 paises to 53.54 against the dollar fresh selling of dollars by banks and exporter driven by persistent capital inflow from foreign fund.
On the global front Asain stock retreated from early high as initial enthusiasm for bank of Japan monetary policy plans gave way to selling. France’s CAC was down by 0.22%.
